I noticed my rear window leaking after a "home wash" and at about the same time a post showed up on the same subject. Funny how a garaged, serviced hand washed truck never showed a problem with leaks in So. Cal. Guess it doesn't rain enough.

My local SVT dealer took digital pictures for Ford approval on warranty replacement. No problems whatsoever. They order the parts, call in a window replacement company and it was done in a few hours. I understand there is a Service Bulletin out on this issue.

I had a good tint job on the window they took out. The dealer said to get the tint replaced and bring in the bill for a refund check. However, I don't think that will be needed because the new window unit is a much darker factory tint. My early 1999 seemed not to have much tint at all. I may not need any additional tinting done. A long drive in the summer sun will tell.
