Post Octane Question

Will it harm our L to try a tank of 100 octane gas? My truck is chipped.I have heard 106 octane might cause some damage. Also I just noticed that the Nos ocatane booster states not to use with less than 16 gallons of gas. Why?
Any input would be appreciated.

Using 100 octane gas shouldn't hurt your truck. The use of the 106 gas might -in time- foul your 02 sensors and muck up other emissions items.

The NOS cans require 16 gal minimum so that it doesn't over-dilute the actual gas itself. Hope this helps

Big difference between 100 octane gas and adding octane booster to your 92/93 octane. Most of the fuel boosters are not worth squat. If you are not having detonation problems chances are you will not benefit from higher octane fuel. Higher octane does not mean better performance. Unless you have a program on your chip that requires the good juice. Then about a 50/50 mix of race fuel and super unleaded will work great. Make sure the race fuel is unleaded and not just low lead.

I mix a 50/50 ratio of Sunoco 100 octane GT fuel and Sunoco 94 ultra. I usually just run half a tank with that combo. But it works great and the L loves it too with out any problems. the last time I used octane booster on my mustang the plugs get all covered with residue so I stay away from it. later 95rcobra.
