Question Location of the computer?

I'm just being lazy here, but I thought someone could give me a heads up on where the computer is at.
Just got my JL Diablo chip and want to install it this weekend.
I'm assuming it's behind the kick panel on the pass side just like the Mustangs are.

It's actually located underneath the CD changer. You'll have to remove the passenger seat, the storage box, and some of the electronics for the stereo.

Good luck!

That's a good one. Can you access it by just removing the CD magazine?

Installing the chip isn't a weekend job. Just remember to unhook the battery. I swap mine out all the time. The first time should take no more than 15 minutes to clean the terminals well. Once you've done it a few times you can change it in about 3 minutes, including unhooking the battery. It's located on the passenger side under the dash, next to the kickboard.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, I took my bed off my truck and then I found it under where the cd changer used to be. Its allot easier that way, Plus you can put the batteries in the custom RTKILLA box. might as well, you got to disconect all the wires that hook up to the battery anyway!

While you have the computer out; be sure you make the necessary mods to prevent the intercooler from leaking. I changed the clunk washers at the same time.

Do I need to put her up on jackstands?

Should I drain all fluids before I remove the computer?

And how about the carpet, does that have to come out too?

Come on guys, help me out here.

Arn't those wires behind the truck used for downloading programs onto the CPU?

??????????

seattle,

the "port" in the back is where Ford prefers to "strap in" their scan tool.

Don't forget the blinker pump changing interval.....must be changed with each unplugging of the computer harness.

Whew, that's a relief, I was under the impression that I had to remove my motor to access the computer.
