Never heard of it on a Lightning but is unfortunatly pretty common on the 97/98 motors

uhhh... I posted about this happening to me last winter. But in my case it was number 5 that decided to "bail out" at full boost..LOL I have had a heli-coil in the head since, and never once had a problem with it.
I could recall 3 trucks off hand that had the same problem, with the same cylinder. Not sure what causes it, but in my case it was a plug working it's way loose..and those 3-4 threads just could not hold it back

Post #2 cylinder--problem?

there are a couple of posts in the f150 ENGINE section about the spark plug being "blown out" of the #2 cylinder on their 5.4 engs. do we need to worry?
