Post Finally!! Lo Pro Installed - But With A Difference!!

I kept my M Pulse Lo Pro tonneau from my '00L to re-install on my '01L, but I was unhappy with the two lock system, both in looks and function. It's taken me 2 months to gather all the items together and finally install, remove, fill in holes, repaint, and re-install but I think the effort was worth it.

This modification could probably be done with a Snuglid as well. Makes the truck super-clean and it's very secure. Just lock the tailgate and you're done.

The only thing remaining to sort out is a good method for flipping open the latches. Got some thinking to do. Enjoy!!

v.nice!

Could You use the rod system from the A.R.E. LSII like mine and mount the operator under the middle? Or fabricate one?

Hey, where did you get your latch system? I was very unhappy with the quality of the one that I got. Your install looks great by the way!!

ps- What did you do with your 01' rims?

Question

Maybe you could try one of those door popper kits for shaved door handles? I don't know much about them, but it seems like it might work.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The more I look at it, the more I think it should come this way. In fact a guy over at NLOC.org purchased one without the lock holes drilled.

To answer some questions:

DHFerguson- I've looked at the rod set-up, and will probably go that way. The only handle I've found has the square post requiring a hole. I'm sure it could be modified.

White2000SVT- The latches came from http://www.actiontrucks.com and as far as I know, it is only Canadian. The latches are purchased from somebody I'm sure. Only cost about $15.00 but took forever to get all the hardware sent correctly. By the way, my '01 rims are in the FRPP boxes that the chrome ones came in. In storage.

SilverFlareSide- Thought about them, but I already carry too many remotes as it is. Dont want to wire it either.

black2k1- When I ordered this lid, they had stopped offering the carpet, otherwise it would be there.

Don C- if you are looking for a hard cover, these are one of the lightest ones around. My personal favorite!
