Talking What are you cooking this weekend???

Traditional holidays in Texas demand a brisket barbecue. I marinate the brisket for at least 24 hours prior to cooking. You need a big barbecue pit with a fire box on the end to cook a brisket. Get fire hot and put on brisket and baste with "secrect sauce". After about 3 hours put in pan on pit and cover lightly with foil and cook for another two hours. This keeps it from drying out. Cold slaw, garlic bread and a cold brew finish it off!!!!! Zaino on the L tomorrow.

Noel,
That's how Hawiians make Kalua Pig....sorta. You have to kill a pig, lob off his head, dig a 6 foot hole, line it with Ti leaves and red hot lava rocks, about 6 tiers worth, wrap the pig in ti leaves, put him in the hole under another 6 tiers of hot lava rocks and leaves cover him up and let him cook for like 16 hours....Sounds terrible, but OMG....
Since we don't have wild piggies in my neighborhood, I made teriyaki chicken wings haha

Cool

I thought that I would just say THANKS to our veterans, then gas up the Lightning and go pick up a new tank of propane to deep fry a turkey that has been injected with some "secret sauce". Then wash everything down with a quart of some South Carolina sipping juice. Best wishes to our vets

Noel-
Y'all may have a holiday, but one of the biggest military-based schools in the nation doesn't (go figure). We've gotta be there bright and early tomorrow A.M. Oh well, the sooner I start the sooner I can graduate! August 10th can't come soon enough!
