http://www.magnusonproducts.com/mp11...generation.htm

Notice Magnuson has a graph showing the M112 still breathing at 14000 rpms? Now, what did that lower pulley add to the rpms over factory?

BfB: i looked at the magnuson site--would you please interpret the graphs? i'm new to this--are the graphs indicating that 5lbs. of boost is "better" than running it at 10lbs.? (i didn't follow your last para.) thanks in advance, dan

It's definitely not better for power, BUT if 5#'s could make as much power at 10#'s, then yeah, because it's more efficient, less heat would build, and the flow is actually somewhat more (naturally because the air is more dense--not as heated).

The boost is dictated via the by-pass valve. Less boost means less pressurized intake air, which then relates to less fuel being called upon from the fuel system, which relates to less power, well you get the point.

I could go into a detailed analysis about all this but I'm sure you understand easier now.

Haha. I love telling Honda owners this: My supercharger has more displacement than your engine!

Boost is NOT dictated via the by-pass valve. Boost is dictated by RPM. By-pass value is open only under vacuum.
