Exclamation My opinions.....

First, I have not yet made my decision on who's products to use. The only tuner I have had any contact with is JL(very helpful). But the way some of the tuners have responded to the events of the last couple of weeks has forced me to give my .02. I have read that this is not their full time job; That's not our problem, You are providing a service and you are making money, just like other business'. Whether you do it all day or in the middle of the night, doesn't matter. Im sure a lot of the people sending you inquiries aren't e-mailing you for the hell of it, they are considering buying some EXPENSIVE equipment from you. You have set up pro web sites and have attempted to look like a legitimate business. Do you put on your web site that this is not your full time job and you’ll get around to their inquiries when you get a chance. I might understand this for someone selling girl scout cookies, but people have to work their asses of to buy this stuff.

As with all types of business, you will have your happy customers, and your unhappy customers. You will always have people saying that your products suck. When I read a responses from a company saying “SAY IT TO MY FACE”, I no longer see that company as being very professional. When your selling merchandise as a legitimate business, your customers expect to be able to get competitive service. Your free to run your business how ever you please, but when you write crap like that DON’T expect sympathy from the people PAYING you good money for what you do!

I know you help people out with their questions, whether they have to do with your products or not. From what I have read, you want us to believe that you do this out of the kindness of your heart. Maybe, but I figure it because you have to too protect your company's rep. Im sure your doing a lot of people favors, but when you sell something, people usually have questions.

I may be off base with some of this stuff, but this is the opinion I have formed simply from reading this board.

You do a good job Doug.

I agree with all of the above. I gotta wonder however if these tuners use this same kind of judgement when tweaking the software on these chips?

I don't see what the big deal is. All this discussion over chips which make a truck go about 1/2 second faster than stock and relatively no faster than the other guy's chip - in a 1/4 mile run. Big deal.

The cost: the same as 7 tanks of gas. Over two years, the cost is negligible.

Am I missing something?

I didn't realize that this stuff being expensive was in debate. $350 for a chip, $240 for a pulley, $180 for a filter kit,,, just a few of the products these guys sell. $770 for 3 things, like I said EXPENSIVE. I was just trying to let these guys know that they are doing a sh*ty job keeping their professionalism. And they are making it hard for me to trust them. I dont know who to trust!!

And damit,, you made me forget why I wrote all that in the first place! grrrr!!!

I'm not going to flame you for being an obvious web troll Lightningslayer, but your list of mods does not exactly back up your claims of a "hardcore style" *** burning. Care to share some ETs? Cars at my local tracks with mods like yours go mid to high 12s. That's not exactly giving a Lightning an *** burning.
