Put a fresh coat of zaino on my L this afternoon and went to the gas station,start pumping in the petro and the guy next to me says thats a sweet truck.Now this is usually were the comments stop but this guy had just come from gratton raceway[roadcourse] and he said is this the one with the hopped up engine because there was one up at gratton whipping all the cars today,he was amazed at this so i showed him some timeslips and said yep and there no slouches at the strip either. He says he is going to buy one and from the gleam in his eyes,he was serious and we all know that after purchase you get a **** eatin grin to go with that gleam at no xtra charge.

 

I get so many compliments about this thing NOW, I thought it was bad enough when I first got it people would just look at it and not say anything, because they had no idea.

It was usually a twice a week thing, now its close to 5 or 6 times a week.

In the staging lanes at the track

"Say thats a nice looking truck, is it quick?"

"Well, not compared to some the the cars here, but I'd say its respectable, mid-high 13s, I have yet to modify it more than the filter."

The look on his face was awstruck. He just got done talking to a guy with a Harley. The loudest machine aside from the alcohol cars. He just got back from running a 13.8

I think I went 13.904@98 with a 2.159 60'

Best time was 13.82@99, 2.150 60'

I did get a new best though, 2.130 60' (on to a 13.87)

It was hot, low barometric pressure, and I cant hook up to save my life. The first 300' if the track was heated to 108*F

Hey tundra, believe it or not,you could have beat two vipers with your track times at one of the local tracks recently.I did not witness this but recently while explaining my 12.8 108.93 run to one of the local old timers,i told him that a z06 and viper could beat me,and he said two vipers were there toghether and both ran 14.0s and i confirmed this with several other track rats.Wish i had been there so i could say the L smoked a viper even though we all know they should do low 12s stock with a decent driver.00 black swanson chip ,pro-m,et streets 12.796 best mph 108.97
