no it won't effect the airsnsor or anythingelse..except make your truck more enjoyable to drive pick up around 1-2 more mpg..if you drive it without flooring it to hear the awesome sound of the blower! which is very hard to do! 
as far as effecting the inspection it should not effect that either unless you live somewhere that they require the factory setup on the vehicle. in that case it only takes 10 min. to put back on.....JL
