Question '01 engines

has anyone had problems w/the '01 engine (#5 piston,leaking intercooler)?if not,what did Ford do to update the new trucks vs.the old ones?

8500 miles running great, The only problem is the rear tires are wearing away do to many 1/4 mile runs.

OMG 8500 miles???
Man, I only have 15K on my 2000 and I dailey drive it and have had it for almost 16 months.
