I believe there are plans to build 7500 copies for 2001.

Collectors care more about which year was the 'BEST" of the collection and condition. Not necessary which had as few.I dont think collectors are gonna want ones with leaky intercoolers.I do truly think that an original G2(any year) one with low miles will be worth some coin in few short years and more if they stop production of high HP vechicles. Not just to collectors but also to enthusiast wantting a "keeper" .These trucks are amazing performance vechicles and the "fastest production trucks ever made"Also,I dont think SVT is gonna sell 7500 this year as they claim.Im guessing 6500 or so.I know a few dealers which are not even going to accept all of their allocation because the toughness to sell in the NE

I just hope my baby is a collectors item in 2032 when I am 50 and rich enough to completely restore her. Let my son drive it to special occasions, how sweet that would be.

Well, I was pondering it. Since Ford Jacked up the truck to a 32k and some change from a 31k and some change are they really going to make more of the 2001. I mean they aren't obviously selling a whole lot of these things anyhow. I know they didn't sell all of the 2k models cause I bought a new one in 2001 and especially not selling now that gas is up and they get 12mpg City and 16mpg Hwy. I seen 2 red ones sitting at the dealer for over 2 months and my white one was on the lot for about a week before they traded me the white 2k1 for the silver 2k. Just my 2c.

Was at my local Ford dealer today and the GM there told me that SVT has decided not to do a run of 7500 but more likely stop at 4000 of the Y2k1's as they are not seelling as well as expected. They had two new Silver L's for list - NO MARK UP and here in Lost Angeles that's something. He said they have had them for a few weeks and no one is buying.
Something to think about.

Oh yeah, he asked if mine had an IC leak. He said yup, almost all of them get them but that there is no official service bulliten about them. Cool of him to admit it.
