F-150 MAN

Open the ash tray and rip it out by the lid and your cup holders will look like these. Without the LED's

How are you dropping the voltage to the LED's? Most require 2-2.5 volts or so. I use 900 ohm resistors to do the job. If you run 12 volts to an LED it will burn up. Thanks.

Cool

APEX, me and EvilGuy did the mod together on both of our trucks today and we used a 560ohm (I think) resistor running to two 2.1V LED's. We just went to RadioShack and the guy told us what size resistor we needed for the specific LED to bring it down from 12V. It's really easy to do and I think its cool, IMO.

When I put the LED's in mine, I bought the LED's with the resistor already inline, and they are rated for 12v. I also used green to try to match the rest of the dash lights. Here are a couple of pics of mine...

I just didn't like the glow from the original light bulb, and the LEDs give off a more non evasive lighting.

Exclamation

Blue Blood, visibility out of the windows is no problem at all, so I can see just as well as the next guy.
