Question RPM's at 60mph

I used to have a 2KL, and now have a 2001. I can't remember the tach reading at 60mph in overdrive for the 3.55 rear in the 2K. For the 2001, it's around 1900 RPM. anyone know offhand what the revs are at 60 for a 99/00 with stock rear ? i am trying to figure out if Ford changed the overdrive gear ratio to compensate for the 3.73 gears to get the revs (and mileage) the same as a 99/00.

Thanks,

I get 1790 rpm. This is doing it with math. Do you know how to get your dash into diagnostic mode? Your odo can be turned into a digital tach or speedo. At this point you have to watch out for exact tire size and the calibration of the tach and speedo. If you want I can check it tomorrow in the truck.

Hope this helps

Acording to the digital dash. 60mph gives 1840 rpm at 60mph on a 2000 L

1840*3.73/3.55=1933rpm
