What muffler do you like?

My '04 still has the OEM muffler. Am in the market to change the sound for the better, but with all the different brands I am stymied on which one to buy. I would like to keep the interior as quiet as possible, so delta 4 Flowmasters are probable out. Help me out guys, you haven't let me down so far. help:

Jim

look at a Flowmaster 50 series. Still has that Flowmaster sound, but has less interior resonance. but be warned, flowmaster muffs dont flow as well as magnaflow or bassani's. i say get whatever sounds best to you. good luck.

If all you intend to change are the mufflers...

1) Magnaflow Magnapacks (JDM's Silver Bullet catback)

2) Bassani catback.

3) I wouldn't put Flowmasters on a junker.

which muffler

For my .02 I would certainly use the MAC cat back for Lightnings. I myself have the system on my L and I think it sounds much better and more civilized than the other mufflers. the price is also very reasonable compared to the others.

I have magnaflows on mine and love them. They are a little loud though. I love the sound of Spintech too but not sure how they sound on a Lightning because they aren't well know to Lightning owners.

JDM Silverbullet (dual magnaflow) on the L and love it.
DI/DO magnaflow on the SVT powered Screw, love it too.

Flowmaster sucks, My vote is Magnaflow.

i bought my truck used and it came with two 2 chamber flowmasters welded onto the stock pipes. it sounded okay at idle and low rpm. Then i switched over to a magnaflow catback (dual in/dual out) and it was okay. nice and deep but i hated it at wot. the silverbullet setup sounds better imo. I am now running a bassani catback and i could not be happier. the bassani is worth every penny as soon as you hear it. combined with LTs or high flow cats

IMO Bassani has the best sound, hands down, followed by JDM's silver bullet, with that said I have a single muffler Magnaflow catback with high flows and long tubes and it sounds great.

I have had the JDM Silverbullet, dynomax, flowmaster, magnaflow, bassani, . I have now settled with bassani. I have since sold my duel in duel out magnaflow catback and got a bassani on the way with a set of Long tubes.

Mac,borla and flowmaster kits just don't sound that great to me.
