Cool Wow, wish I had this chart.

This was. from a guy who my Rx-7 friend knows...its a modded Rx-7...These numbers are nuts for a 2500lb car.

You can get those numbers and better with your L. just throw a 100 shot on her and let it fly.

did you see spiro's dyno with the 100 shot.

488 hp and 623 trq!!! at the rear wheels.

thats nice!

Yes, but part of his post was that the car holding that engine weighs about half of what our Ls weigh!

Repeat after me class - "It's all about power to weight." That's why I have a sportbike. "Only" 117 hp / 78 torque but also weighs 575 lbs with me on it!

I understand that completely and believe I know what you guys mean.
He just said that he wanted a chart like that. I didn't say that his L could be that light weight. Which I can't believe that an RX7 would weight less then 3000 pounds let alone 2500. must be stripped down.

Someone who builds a RX-7 to that kind of power wouldn't be daunted at stripping weight, I'd wager. I wouldn't want a chart that looked like that for my L, though - it should be a lot smoother, IMHO.

That is Steve Kan's car...nice guy. Last I heard he was running 10.4 ET's. Might be faster by now.

The stock RX7 weighs 2789 (according to Edmunds - Click here). And it's not heard to drop more weight: lighter battery, there is a big storage bin behind the seats that's 50 lbs. etc.

It takes almost nothing to get that car into the 12s... 10.4 is harder.

I liked the 449 on no NOS at ~2800 pounds...make it proportional and it be like 650 for us. Without NOS that'd be nice...

But when you get side-swiped going 35, the cops will be scrapping your body off the pavement. When I get side-swiped, I'll limp out of my truck and say "Damn, that sucked", but I'll be alive.
