Magnaflow 12468. Sounds great. Not too loud. Nice and throaty.

After looking at several makes, I finally use a Flowmaster Series 50 on my 00 HD Ford. Was told a series 40 would be louder, but have also read in these posts that the interior sound was OK. Used the same tailpipe setup and cost was $274.00 installed.

Cool

I took have been looking for a little better sound in my 01. I have looked around and the Flowmasters seems right for the price. Flowmaster makes a direct replacement for the L...I have not herd them on an L yet but I have herd them on other muscle cars and they sound pretty tame compared to others. I beleive its the Flowmaster70 series that is the some what quiet for the after market areana. just a thought....

Everyone I have talked to says Flowmasters take away horsepower and it's pretty hard to improve on the stock set up. I also want a deeper sounding truck but not at the expense of losing HP. I have heard good things about the Magnaflow but again, I don't want to lose HP. My Chevy p/u sounds nasty with it's Flowmaster cat back but is slow as a dump truck. I kinda miss the growl when I get in the L. I, personally, would have to see dyno graphs before purchasing anything.
