Anyone know what dealers in the Dallas Ft Worth area that sell Lightning's? Im in Carrollton and you never get a straight answer calling these clowns, they just tell me "Well we can get one". Thanks

I got mine at Bob Tomes Ford in McKinney. I worked with Jerry Hoag. Good guy. I had to choose between Bob Tomes at North Central in Richardson. All the sales guys I dealt with at North Central were either scumbags or dumba$$es, so I avoided them like the plague. By the way Bob Tomes has a red one sitting on the showroom floor and I know they had a black one (the one I ordered, but they got another black one early and I took that one ). If you go up to Bob Tomes and talk to Jerry tell him Tom Liss sent you. I'll split the $50 finders fee with you!!

I bought mine from Jim Howard at Middlekauff in Plano. I know that they still had a red one as of last Thursday, and they even had a red used '99 or '00. If you go, ask for Jim Howard. He's a GREAT salesman!

If you do go to Middlekauff, don't let them tell you that these trucks sell for $2,000 over MSRP. The sales manager told me this is what they sell for, and I got up to walk out. I bought it for $500 under MSRP, and they managed to "find" another $1,500 for my trade-in. Saying no will get you a LONG way.

 

I bought my 2000 new for about $2k under sticker at Westway in Irving. It was an excrutiating process, but they also gave me more for my trade than anyone else. I have tried to give Bankston my business before but we can never seem to agree on a price(full price for theirs and $3k less on my trade than Westway, this last time.)

 

Town East Ford had four on the lot the other day. Also, a guy at work just bought one from Doug Stanley in DeSoto using the X Plan.

I bought mine from Westway in Irving. It was MSRP they tried the 2K over crap too. It wore me out but it was the only silver in Dallas that week. I say find the color you want get it for msrp and get service wherever you want. Davis in Arlington has a white one. Westway had 2 black and 2 red a few weeks ago. Doug Stanley in Desoto sells for MSRP too, Prestige Ford. Watch out for that 300$ theft guard registration crap and expensive warranties and disability insurance. They tried to add nearly 5K in crap to mine.
