Post Vibration Issues

Got an 01 with vibration issues...I cant tell if it is the tires or the driveline or maybe even the exhaust as some of you mentioned before.

It happens between 70 to 90 mph. at 90mph i throw the tranny in neutral and let the truck coast. Shifting into neutral at this speed doesnt seem to make any difference.

Anyone else with similar issues?

I noticed a slight vibration in mine on the NJ Turnpike one morning after a 75 to 135 passing move. I figure its because of the gears, compared to the 3.55's that I was used too. I don't think it's much of a big deal, only time will tell.

Cool

SOUNDS LIKE YOU BOTH ARE HAVING THE ALUMINUM DRIVE SHAFT OUT OF BALANCE PROBLEM THAT THE EARLIER YEAR TRUCKS ARE HAVING.

I called the dealer....and he tells me i shouldnt be driving at 90mph anyway!

I mean as soon as you have a problem it's like they find every which way to turn you away....I thought being an SVT dealer meant something?

Anyway, a little update

I just purchased the exhaust dampeners and I am going to speed balance my tires and make sure the runout on the wheels are within specs
However the driveshaft .....i would have to send that out to get the balance checked on it....I could try rotating it 180 degrees and see if that helps.

I did do a search..hence the pipe dampeners i just ordered!

Hey silver....even though you cannot feel the vibration at lower speeds...its still there and chewing away at your pinion bearings, tranny tailshaft bushing, and u-joints.
