grease your steering stops, and call Herb
(action911) to order your "clunk washers"
if you look at the FAQ's or do a search, everything is laid out for you

Next will be the dreaded I/C Leak. Go back and look at your window sticker, you PAID for that option. It says "SVT Lightning" which has the "CLUNK" in the option package that comes with the F-150 Lightning

If it wasn't for the "CLUNK" you wouldn't be able to smoke the tries, run 13 sec 1/4 miles, be stared at all the time, or have a bunch or "BOWTIE" owners wana race you all the time. 1st you clunk'em, 2nd you choke'em in tire smoke, 3rd you run off and leave them.

Yeah, isn't that embarassing? You're in front of your friends, turning, and you have to explain that the Clunk is normal, and "you're getting it taken care of."

I wouldn't recommend going for Herb's Washers quite yet. I had the same problem within a few weeks of getting mine. A simple steering stop lube at the dealership was all it took, no sounds since.

felonious,

You just watch that bolt. It will move in time. Some sooner than others.

Unhappy

There is also a third steering related noise known as the "crik". this noise can be duplicated by sitting at a stoplight or stop sign, and ever so slightly rocking the steering wheel back and forth while the brakes are applied. you can "crik" on every left and right pull of the wheel. the cure for the "crik" is a healthy dose of grease to the only grease fitting on the steering linkage, right about front and center of the truck. i hate the "crik", it drove me nuts, or something

If you don't have the clunk, you will have the clunk. The fix is "Herbs Washers", a cam bolt set and an alignment. You are fixing the problem that Ford is doing a jerry rigged fix on!!! Ford uses the slotted lower a arm bolt to set the castor stagger, and it will always fail.!!!!! Ford is trying to save about $50 per vehicle, and it stinks!!!! Come on SVT, get it together. This is a great Truck, Dont't do a cheepy on this simple steering problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
