Post Do you know the POWER of this Message Board?

Never in history has the consumer been so empowered. I just read a thread on a failed windshield seal. People are comparing notes across the country - Illinois, Texas, Florida... No longer will a dealer be able to deny a product failure simply because the consumer doesn't know that the same damned thing happened to 30 other people.

I will never endure a problem without running it by the members of this board to see who else may have experienced the same product failure. You are participating in a revolution...

You're right. I would have never got my "herb" washers to fix the clunk which my dealer couldn't seem to do. I also never would have known to keep an eye on the intercooler level. So far (1,400 miles) no problem. I don't post much but I learn alot. Long live the board.

you talk about power! i bot my 97 f150(used) about two yrs. ago. about 9 months ago, our office computers were connected to the net. i was aware of the net but had never used it. as i "surfed", i tried a google search for ford trucks(my 97 was my first p/up and i'm 62 yrs. old). i found f150online and started soaking up "regular" f150 info. at some point, i scrolled down and saw the LIGHTNING site. i started learning about one of the greatest vehicles ever available to us. never thought i would go past just reading about the Ls--but i did! i found out about the xplan, gene evans ford, mods, adjustments, etc. and i have acted--i bot my 01L on may 8, 2001--only because of this site. thanks everybody, especially STEVE!
