Exclamation Actually had a positive service experience

Well, as hard to believe as this is I actually had a positive experience at a Ford Dealer’s service department. As this is a rarity I thought I’d share it with those in the Los Angeles area.
I took my L in for it’s 15K mile service check. I went to Beverly Hills Ford. It is on Olympic just East of Beverly Blvd.
I made an appointment and they were ready for me when I arrived. Unlike Galpin or Vista or Star they do not 100 or more service bays. It is fairly small, very clean, and the Service manager stopped by to see if all was well and he even ran a check on Ford’s computers to see if there were any TSB’s or info on changes to the truck. By the way, according to the Ford computer there is NOTHING listed about an intercooler leak. There is however a change to the main belt so when you need the belt replaced it will not be the same part number. He was aware of the piston slap, he even had a new crated L engine for replacement on one that had the problem. Luckily I have not had that problem. He was really helpful. I had a ton of writing to do so I stayed in the customer lounge the whole time. It was pretty nice, carpeted, leather couches, free coffee, it was nice, and quite and unexpected change from other Ford dealerships I’ve been to. So, if you are in the LA area and looking for a good dealership for service this is it.
They also sell SVT and Saleens there. The show room was one SVT convertible Mustang, two Saleen Mustangs, and one Excursion.
Nice place, nice people. Check it out.

I wish I could find a dealer like that in my area. Are they MOD friendly also? Nice to hear a positive experience. I have had a few positive dealer encounters. They were at the BMW and Mercedes dealers though.

You're very lucky to find that type of service anywhere these days. Sadly I haven't had that kind of luck in my area.

Thumbs down

Don't tell anyone! I was having such a nice stew in my indignation and annoyance of FORD's lack of competent dealers...
