update to vandalized truck
took the truck into the ford dealer, he told me not to worry that he would make it totally perfect and that i would not be able to tell that anyone tried to pry off the logos with screwdrivers. they gave me a ford truck 4=4. its driving me crazy. the dash is somewhat similar, so when im driving i think im in the lightning, but the thing rides like a ,,, well, like a "truck" and when i put my foot down , i think whats wrong with this thing. miss the lightning. just venting guys, thats all.

Just a moment, don't be so quick to dismiss your loaner4x4. Do with it the things you never can do with your L:
1) Park by going with one wheel over the curb.
2) Take it on a dirt road.
3) Take it into the mud.
4) Put it in low range in the sand.
5) Go shopping and park it close to the entrance...

Cabraco is right. When you get back in your L it will feel much faster than you remember. I also own a 1999 F159 XLT 4X4 with a V-6. "Everytime" i get back into the L it always feels great. Good luck.

here in US I would vote for those backlashings for vandalism
where was that at in HONG KONG
theft and vandalism running amuck in US

thanks guys. its just that i have never enjoyed a vehicle as much as this lightning. i had a lot of high performance cars in the past, but i have absolutely never enjoyed anything as much as this truck. they really made something great when they made these.
