Well I just happen to be typing up proposal's today, HAHAHA yeah right it sure looks like it.

You know I was thinking about takeing some shrink wrap to the front of my truck for the drive down there. Think of all the bugs that your going to hit on the way down. I really don't feel like scrapping that chit off my truck, you kow. So I'm going to put the shrink wrap on the front all over and cut out the grilles for it. I think it should stay allot cleaner on the way down there. Dumb Idea or not?

Bullpuppy has a 2000 Lightning.

 

Those are good numbers..

and it looks like these numbers are very repeatable.. Seems like the 400+ hp number keeps showing up on peoples dyno sheets..

Now the question is.. How long will it last..

I think 400 rwhp is about the limit we can make before other parts start to fail.. ( ie. Transmission )

 

If anything is going to go on the truck, its going to be the trans first, but I think with the right mods you can make this trans handle allot more power then 400hp and 500trq. Those modular motors can hanlde allot of power from the factory, or atleast the 4.6's do. the 9.75 rear isn't even a thought at this moment. so I think the trans will be the first thing to go. Will a C6 trans bolt up to this motor. What other type's of trans are there that can bolt up to the 5.4.

 

RTKILLA-Speaking of C6's.
I've been pondering putting a FRPP-514 ci Crate Motor-Carb. (630 hp) 9.90 Bracket Motor w/a trans-braked C6 add a 250 shot NOS in my Lighting (when the warranty runs out) and see how good these 9.75 rears really are? LOL
I wonder what times I would turn with my 4600 lb BRICK?

BOB, and what are you doing right now, LOL.

Don't worry the beast will be put together before we leave, I hope. LOL. I got the bed back on and the nitrous kit is going to get put on tonight. Eddies's going to hook up the wires for it, and I got Rob G comming over to put in the spark plugs fro me. I'm sure we could do it, but the first times always the most difficult and right now I need performace, so I called on the assistance of my friends. Trust, I'll make it by thursday afternoon. we changed the leaving date to thursday afternoon now. Why I don't know, I'm taking off work thursday and friday anyway. And my two friends that are going with don't work, so where going to wait another day. I DUNNO?

 

I think as long as you don't put on slicks the trans should hold.F1 tire spin is your safety out of trouble.
