Question Hey Don C......

When you got your exhaust system worked on, did they cut the hanger that attaches the driver's side pipe to the transmission?

Curious because I am still having some nagging issues with my truck.

Thanks!

Good morning
No my hanger that goes to the transmission is still hooked up.
I hope you figure out your problems, but I don't know what to tell you seems like you have done all the right things so far.

Did you check the tires real good?

Thanks for the quick reply Don. My muffler install now has the following: tranny hanger removed (done by dealership before delivery) and the connector between the two inlet pipes to the muffler disconnected (pipes were moved further apart, as you know).

I have a vibration between 60 and 75 mph, not earth shattering, but still a bother. The real problem is that this vibration is not consistant. Sometimes it's not even evident.

I had my chrome '00 wheels installed last week and nothing has changed. Possibly in the driveline ( but the inconsistancy sort of negates that) or it's in the exhaust or engine. My guess is the exhaust.

Any other guesses are most welcome!!

Hey What04
I have been thinking about this for a day or so.
The place that installed my muffler, has it so there is a lot less movement than when it was stock.
Maybee by reducing how much the exhaust can move might solve your problem. You might want to try temporarally installing a extra bracket or two and see if that helps.

That is the plan Stan. I have some high-polished BABolt tips enroute and will tighten the system during the install.

I also wonder whether I may have a bad coil. Don't know how to check this without a service call. Will pull some plugs soon.

Thanks for the interest.
