I also belong to a street racer board that's local to chicago and the guys on there are just so stupid. It pisses me off that they all think the new lightings are so slow an can't and will never break into the 12's without a new motor. HAHAHAHAHAHA, well lets just say that KILLA has few races setup for next weekend when he gets back from WFC. $500 to $1000 a piece.

Should I spray the beast or no. I want to win but I don't want anybody to know how fast the can really go. LOL

I had a guy who had a honda odssey (sp?) with rims and exhaust that thought he could take me. Lets just says I launched softly and later then him and had a few car lengths by the time I hit 70, then I dropped down to 65 so I wasn't speeding and let him pass me.

Once he got up into the heavy traffic area, the van, a civic hatchback, and an accord all decided they wanted to swerve around all the lanes and cause even more traffic.

Thats what I hate about street racing. It's one thing to race down a 2 lane road (2 lane each side) that 90% of the time your the only 2 cars on the road, but a completey different story to swerve in and out of other cars, cut them off, etc. at 15mph in traffic.

 

Oh by the way, if they think your slow, prove em wrong. Slowly. Keep letting the next one think they can take you. Hustle the wannabe hustlers.

 

When you say NEW Lightnings are you talking about gen 2s or 01s.

Hmmm, '01's are G2's, as are '99's and '00's. Contrary to popular belief and recent surge to dump the old'99-'00 for the new and improved '01, there isn't that much difference, 20hp, plzzzz. I already picked that much up and can surpass that mark easily enough if that was my goal. That crap is tickin' me off a bit. Anyway i had a new silver chevy/GMC 1500 play with me from a light on an open highway, he was older too so it was restrained, he lunged, i sqeezed a little to match him. He hit it and then i did, buh-by, just no competition at all. I think he wanted to see what she'd do, help him decide what truck he needs next
I get guys on the freeway all the time who go faster just to pass and then back out as i cruise in the slow lane at 70. I gotta say driving this thing in public is harder than one might imagine.
Another jerk is sitting next to me in a p/u with 6 cars in front of us each lane, we start and he jams himself in front of me, had to hit the binders, really close. I spit and figured he is truning right so oh well. As we approach the light no turn signal, i fkn hit it, left lane, wot through the intersection 50' away avoiding a car turning left in my new lane and then cutting back into the right lane 2 cars ahead of butt hed. My stop was 500' up the road, i pulled in a waited for him as he shook his hand going by, what a complete A$$hole! It's hard job, but it takes a man to ride the Lightning, no gender intended.lol

I may be wrong, but I believe that what Fritz was getting at was all of the "shots" at the 01's not being able to burn the tires from a stop and things like that. I don't believe he was saying that the 01's were better than any of the other L's, but just trying to find out what the "other" guys were talking about. If I'm wrong, oh well, been there b4!
