Cool

HI!... What pics?

I did this last year. removed all the air bags, HVAC system, emergency brake and hardware, radio, HVAC controls, ABS system. Truck is going pure drag. Also going lexan windows, full tub and mustang II front suspension. I also gutted the glove box and made a custom aluminum plate that houses my PCM, starter solanoid, nitrous controller and 8 40AMP HD relays. I also moved the entire engine wire harness, inside the truck. So basically, I have the headlight/turn signal harnesses and 4 wires that run the two electric rad fans and two tranny cooler fans. Thats it. Very clean. Truck should weight in at about 3400-3500LBS with driver and I'm 235LBS.

Make sure if you totally remove the HVAC system that you will need to plug the air intake hole that is up under the dash and exits in the wiper cowl. It's a pretty large hole. I made a 1/8TH inch plate out of aluminum and seam sealed and self tapped screwed it in place.

when you get a chance can you post a pic of the black dash. I wanted it to practice molding some gauges in and then planned on changing the interior to black.

haha, I probably just dropped a 500 - 1000 in labor on my bronco paying someone else to replace the entire brake system because I did not want to have to leave my Lightning outside for a few days while I did it myself in my garage afterwork. no rush, not doing it anytime soon.

need help

I want to remove my ac and heat and air bags. Did you have any guides to assist you or did you just go at it? Also what did you do about a pulley where the ac was? Do they make a kit/idler? Any assistance would be helpful. is it neccessary to pull the dash the get the heater out? Should I loop the heater line at the intake?

HI!... I just went at it. It's pretty simple. I pulled my dash to get the HVAC out. On my 5.4 I just went to the Ford dealer and bought a belt tensioner for a NON A/C 5.4. The belt tensioner pulls in the opposite direction as the A/C one does. You will also need a shorter belt.

Do you know the part number for the tensioner and belt? Ford is having a problem figuring it out!
