Thumbs down Man this truck stinks!!!!!

At highway speeds, my exhaust smells awful. They are the stock cats, and I never noticed it smelling this bad before. Any suggestions?
Warranty? I have had the IC leak (bars leak fix), perhaps some blame lies there?

Thanks alot!

Question

You didn't install Okoles, did you?

If your exhaust is smelling bad it is almost guaranteed to be the gasoline you are using. Gasolines with high sulfur content frequently cause that rotten egg type of stink. Try getting your gasoline from somewhere else for a while to see if it goes away.

Check for oil leak at back corner of passenger head gasket. When it leaks (generally at higher rpm) the oil burns on the outside of exhaust system. I hope this is not your problem.

Im going to have to go with the overheated cat on this one it is a sulfur smell. There is no smell under "normal" driving conditions, but if I get on it some, it gets real bad, especially over 70 mph. So this is something I should take to the dealer with, or just burn them right out?

Thanks

It seems that I remember something about a sticky injector causing the sulfer smell. Maybe a can of fuel injector cleaner might clear it up. I could be wrong though.

I would take it to the dealer and have them put some new cats on the truck. I know I've heard of a few people with stock cat problems.
