My vote is for the Lexus SC430. I've seen two around town lately. VERY nice I must say. I also really like the convert. hard top style. Never did really like soft tops. If not, I think the SLK would be a good idea, or even a Vette.

Take the V6, and mod it!
Spend 10,000 and blow it, full griggs, 18" Saleen wheels, exhaust ect.
You'll keep the car, save money and have something that would outrun a new GT.

2nd choice: SVT Focus, w/turbo charger installed.

01Bolt: Hey! Are you gonna make it to Cozymels today? We're still meeting there @ 4pm.... As for my vote, I'd say get her the Vette. With the automatic, you can just add a filter, headers, and a torque converter and your wife will have a 12.8xxx car. One of the Nashville C5 guys that I give crap to for driving an auto shut me up very quick a few weeks ago up at Beech Bend. Of course she might not be interested in the mods, but it's still a pretty quick ride for the money. You could also get a Camaro or Firebird that has the about the same power, but with the Vette she'd look even better with her foot on the throttle.... Hopefully we'll see you today at 4. Later!

Ted

My wife really likes her black 2.8 auto Z3. She's owned a 911 and a 3-series sedan but likes the Z3 best. (She says it's a toss-up between my L and her Z3. She loves driving the truck as much as I do!)

The Z3 is a great looking little roadster and BMW gets lots of useable power out of its motors for their size and advertised hp. It'll really scoot for an automatic. A great little toy and just about perfect for her intended use.

RDY2RAC:

Where in the world do you see 5 Saleens a day??? I have lived in MI for 7 mos and have seen a total of TWO my entire time here.

I think its sad that you can get a auto in a saleen now...but hell the S281 is basically just an overpriced appearance package anyway.
I would stay away from the Saleen if I were you.

Vette would be my HANDS DOWN choice if I had the money.

01Bolt

I recently got the Lexus IS 300. The fit and finish of the car is awesome. I did test drive several beemers and they are nice, but they werent as up to date and refined as the Lexus.
I personally dont like the Lexus 430, just looks funny, and for the price, no thanks.

Everyone does have good taste in cars here though, they are all winners IMO.

What does she like? Just get her what she wants, and keep her happy!

What no 3.0 6-cyl? Fun cars. Check E-bay for a hard top. Have seen them on there. You more than likely will have to have it painted to match. Long odds on finding the correct color. Dinan makes a nice blower setup for that car.
