I recently bought a 2001 ford lightning and i purchased an intake system....(piping filter .ext) but every time i go to the guys shop to pick it up he tells me "next week" after that story for like 4 weeks i cancled my order...so my question is where can i go to get an intake system ......?

 

Don't know if they offer 2001 kits yet, probably do though. Johnny Lightning, PSP and JDM all have air intake kits.

johhny lightning's kit! includes a prefilter too.

 

Doesnt anyone make a kit where your not picking up hot engine compartment air?

 

Airaid makes a kit that seals off the filter from the engine compartment. The draw back is that the engine is trying to draw air through a little hole in the fender! The JL kit is an open element and also has a ram air set up also, that draws cold air in through the fender.I will try to get you his number. 717-786-4670 is his number. Hope this helps, Josh

Hey RT, are you going to sell that kit? How much? Did you pick up in the 1/4, mph,et? Josh

 

I haven't really thought about making and selling them, but if I did it would be around $200.00 for the madral bent pipe and fittings to work with the 90mm.

I can't really tell if I picked anything up, mainly because I did so much other stuff to the truck during the winter. I went from a 13.5 down to a 12.7 all at once. now it will go from a 12.7 down to a 11.??? once I put the NOS on, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. can't wait.

 

I ordered the Johnny Lightning kit for my 01....The stage 2 kit....as far as i can tell...it seems to be of the highest quality out of all the others that i have seen.....except for RT/Killa's....i give you props hehe
