How is your red paint (quality). I had some serious paint problems with my red 00. Turns out I'm getting a 01 instead and looks like it will be silver.(don't mind that though) Thing is when I asked the dealer if he had red he said he did but could see the same flaws coming as what was on mine.
Just wondering about everyone else with red.

I think mine is Very Good. I've been around automotive painting (to include boats & diesel trucks) since 1973. Don't ask me to sand or prep. anything GRrrrrrrr..... I can do the whole process from start to finish, it's just very time consuming(to do it right), and I hate sanding.

Mine is excellent also.You never reaaly find out until your first wash/wax job.I found only one tiny spec under the paint in a totally inconspicuous spot just next to the bed rail plastic cover at the very front of the bed.Otherwise, very happy with the paint.

Both my '00 and my '01 were/are red. I am actually very pleased with the quality of the paint job. They're not BMW's, but they're pretty good. I have yet to find any flaws in either.

Is that your lightning at summit ford with the bilet grills? anyway I had the first 01 that came in and the paint is great even under flouresent lighting with just 1 piece of dust in the tailgate ( it's red) the paint is about 100 times better than my 98.5 black svt contour , they missed two of the door jams!. Sean

 

I am very satisfied with both the fit and finish on mine.
