does the pcm turn off the a/c compressor if i go into passing gear?

 

I think it disenguages it when the truck is at WOT.

 

NO,NO,NO!!
The A/C is not shut off by the PCM. Make sure, before you race you have the climate control in the off position. Ford does have some vehicles that do, do this. You can call SVT to verify!

Fuse 5 is WOT relay, back up lites, etc
The way I read this diagram it is connected to A/C at Batt Junction Box

When you go to WOT A/C shuts off

Look, the best way to tell is put your A/C on. Fan on full blast. Punch it too the floor for a few seconds, at the same time hold your hand over the vent. If it cuts out so will the cold. If it stays cold and no change then it stays on. I tried it on my 01 today. No change! In a prior conversation with a person from SVT. I was told to make sure the climate control switch is in the off position when I run at the track.
