Unhappy Anyone had this trouble yet??

Umm...I kind of have some ball point pen marks on the seat, the grey part. Anyone know of anything that will clean this off very effectivly and not cost me an arm and a leg?

Thanks in advance!

Eric

Hope this doesn't sound stupid, but here goes...I got a greasy elbow mark on the back's side support and was desperate to get it off. It was pretty bad and I've had good luck using wax & grease remover made for paintjobs on other types of fabrics. So I tried it very carefully by putting a small amount on a shop towel and gently dabbed/rubbed it. It removed all the grease without pulling grey color out of the cloth. Looks brand new again. I've gotten ball point pen ink off our good sofa with it too. Try it in an inconspicuous place first.

I've also used aerosol brake cleaner in the same manner too with perfect results. I just used brake cleaner last week to get sticky, gooey bubble gum off my floormat. They both dry really fast, which I think helps in not causing further damage.

Maybe someone knows something better, but this works great for me.

Cool

Believe it or not, we use standard issue baby wipes on our aircraft interiors. The brushed suede sidewalls and headliners in our planes is similar to the grey seat material.

Lightbulb

It's the alcohol in the hair spray and the wipes that does the work on the ink.

Good Luck!

LOL Tundra. I'd try that foam upholstery cleaner I believe Rich was talking about last week or so. Blue Coral maybe???

Brake cleaner works good for grease, ink, tar etc. You need a water soluble cleaner for what you have. Just drool, huh? LOL

Blue Coral should gently take it out.

I've used it for drool stains also(Audi owners).

Maybe I need to roll up the windows at the shows when I see them walking towards the truck....

I used white wall or tire cleaner for my pen marks on leather. Worked great.
