Question Electronic countermeasures survey

Do you have an ACTIVE laser or radar jammer (or both) installed in your Lightning?

I have always followed this technology very closely. I run a M10 Blinder dual head LIDAR jammer on the front and a Valentine One radar detector (anything else is a video game on your dash board). I also have an Phantom RCD XP active K band jammer it confuses most guns until about 200-300 feet away.

I believe you have the best jamming set up that can be purchased of the shelf. How much is the Phantom RCD?

I have seen pictures of it. I am an RF engineer and I have some microwave experience. If I bought the RCD I would concider removing the X and K oscillators from the box and mounting them to larger external weather proof antennas. More powerful gunn diodes would also help. This product is fairly low power out of the box per FCC regulations; however simply replacing the gunn diodes alone may yield significant improvement. Some of the companies that are marketing this product appear to be doing this for K-band

If you turn the pwer up you risk setting off the jam indicator on the gun. It is set up to work well yet remain undetected. I have not looked at removing the ant. yet. We are working on remote mounting the whole box and making a relocation kit for it. Retail on the XP which does digital and analog K band is $700. I had the X band disabled since they don't use it is TX. Glad to see someone knowledgable in this area. Do not confuse this product with that Rocky Mountain Radar CRAP. Later.
