Question How many have upgraded Torque Converters ?

I am getting the impression that the transmission is the weak point in my truck. After almost 20k of street pounding and track pounding I dont think a fluid and filter change will be enough....

Its not broke but I think it needs some TLC

So who has changed thier converters, how much $ and what did you think ??
Thanks in advance
Doug

Question

I thought the Torque converter change was a performance mod, not a "reliabilty" mod.

MY .02
Get a Precision Industries Converter from JDM or JL. 2 year warranty that they honor. Stay away from Level 10. If you want more info e-mail me

Cool

I agree that you should go with a Precision Industries converter. I ran many of their converters in my '98 Trans Am, and their performance and reliability were unmatched. Jack and Terry @ P.I. are great guys, and they'll do anything to help. Besides, a free stall change within your two-year warranty period is pretty cool, too.

Did you get my e-mail, Doug? I very much agree with reality1, except I couldn't find any prices on the Precision Industries site. Rather than buying a new one I am having my oem converter rebuilt by a guy who does nothing but racing converters. Going to increase the stall speed by a few hundred rpm, but not enough to compromise drivability on the street.
