Post 1st time at the track - need input

Finally went to the track this past Saturday, we had an all Ford event on 75/80 Dragway here in Maryland.
My best time was against a 60's AC Cobra (I thought these things were faster)

ET 1/4 Mile - 13.7955
RT - 0.9430
Speed 1/4 Mile - 99.2998
60 ft. - 2.0095
330 ft. - 5.7842
1/8 Mile - 8.8891

I tried launching at different RPM's and 1k to 1.5k seemed to be the best but I would spin thru the 60 ft.

MY first time at the track with the L also. Looks like we both need to work on our reaction times. I got my best 60ft time leaving at an idle 1.94. Best run was 13.16 @104mph. Only had time to make 3 runs.

I feel a 12.xx coming on.

I believe the Cobra was a 302 and it was running 13.35 @ 102MPH.

This Saturday was really good. I got about 10 runs of trials and lost first round of eliminations with my worst RT (1.65) i think i fell asleep.

I need some slicks & some coffee before i go next time!!

It was probably me. I had my Intercooler replaced a couple of months ago.
I'm sure i can do alot better with lower temps & humidity.
We got to get together and go up there when i come back from vacation.
There were a couple more L's but only me and a 1st Gen. were racing.

I saw a guy with a 2000 L with the Bassani Cat back run this friday. He put JDM's 90 MM mass air kit, with his warm weather program chip tuned for the Bassani. It was 92 degrees out and this is what he ran. If you decide to go for the 90 MM Mass air kit make sure you tell Jim you have the Bassani, it seams they change the torque curve a little bit.

Thunderstruck, it was pretty warm and humid Saturday. That may have affected you times, and not on the good side.

I have seen what I believe is your truck as Sheehy service a couple times in last five months or so. Intercooler problems?
