Post chips

I have a y2K Lightning. I'm looking to buy a chip. After reading through the message board I came to the conclusion most of us Lightning owners are prefering the Superchips chip. I also noticed that there are different chips being used e.g. flip chip, R9 (or something like that) etc. Please help me out on my selection process.

Thumbs up

Try the Jonhhy LIghtning supported DiabloSport Chip. seems to be the best bang for the buck and 30 day money day back. life time warranty. after speaking with some friends with the super chips and hearing the quirky little things, plus its less in price.

good luck

Buy JL's programs, you won't be sorry. I have been running great times with his new Diablo chip.

All Chips are easy to install and even easier to remove and swap once the first install is complete. These companies have lots of good comments here regarding there tuning abilities. Most of the negitive stuff is between them and not from there customers. Any of theme can set the chip up for your requirments. Nitrous / Race / Street / Towing / Valet and everything between. I have been told by someone deep within SVT that in stock trim the hard shifting street setups should have the trans fluid changed (like every 12000 miles) often if driven on the street in this mode. My chip has been set on one side to shift soft at 4250 rpm in valet mode and is street driven in this mode most of the time. On the other position is 93 fuel, full power to 5500 rpm and 8 cyl shifts.

Hope this helps

Andy

Cool

And don't forget Danny at Swansonperformance.com. He as a great chip and you can always get intouch with him. I find his chip to be a better daily driver than JMD's. Haven't tried Johnny's yet but he also enjoys a great product and management standard.

I met a guy this weekend running the JDM (superchip) street program. It was 92 degrees out, and he ran a 12.82 at 105.14 mph

He made a few more runs all within a tenth of a second of that time in that hot weather, now thats consistant running.

Swanson TV dinners is different or something, I think those are made by MRBBQMAN.

I have talked with Danny Swanson a number of times, and he is always helpful. Sixpipes has a Swanson Flipchip with the holysh** program on the flip side and it really goes, or something!!!

Hi Hugo,

There are any number of factors to look at, and it can make for a confusing deciosion. If you'd like to just call someone and go over the various options, etc,. please feel free to give a call, we'll be happy to go over all of that with you, with no pressure to purchase, etc.

And best of luck with your Lightning, whatever you decide!

Wink

since there are not enough choices, i've decided to market MRBBQCHIPS. these are to be used in the pits and during cool down. the final spice program has not been finalized, as i've been experiencing some heavy detonation, 5-10 minutes after testing.
