It was a great day, and for 2 reasons only.

1) I saw a brand new 01 Vette make a fool of himself.

2) He paid his respect to the Lightning.

Now for the story...

I was looking to feed myself, when I see a maroon C5 roll around the corner. Looked like he just got it this weekend. Not one peice of dirt on it, and temp tags to boot. I change my mind about food and decide its been a while (12 hours) since the Lightning had a peice of Vette. My buddy and I follow him a couple of miles and decide to talk some good ol' trash.

He notices my truck before I even get my window down...

"Hey those things are nice! Pretty quick too, eh?"

"Yep, still looking for a new Vette that can show me some tailights, havent lost to an 00 model yet."

"Well, this is a 2001"

"Really? )sarcasticly) Is that an auto or stick?"

"Stick"

"Can you drive it"

"I am pretty good with it."

Then the light went green and off we went. Since he had a minivan in front of him, and a Bronco in front of me, not much happened. Little did I know I just had a conversation with a complete clown. And he was about to shine his true barnum & bailey colors.

The minivan killed the Bronco, (if they were racing) and then the Corvette guy had to show off his fast car to his lady friend. He stomps on the gas and swerves into my lane cutting it closer than a foot of the Bronco in my lane. That guy was pissed. The very next light turned red and he and his extra-large wife had a few choice words with the Vette guy in 3:30pm traffic.

Fast forward a few miles down the road. Off in the distance, we were both cruising down towards a green light. Just like most of these stories, this light cooperated and turned red for us. I am in the right hand lane, which has to merge into the left lane, about an 1/8th mile away . The vette guy was about 5 lengths behind me in the left lane when I pulled up to the line. My man slows way down and turns on his blinker, to get behind some car behind me. I ended up catching the light with that minivan. He went straight, too.

The ultimate compliment. And no video today, didnt think I'd find any action on a nice Sunday afternoon.

I do beleive I obeyed all traffic laws (at the time). I think you miscalculated when you wished me to go to jail when it was Bozo who was reckless.
