06' GTO VS 03' Lightning

Whats up guys. Well a buddy of mine at work and I have been talking trash for many months now. He has an 06' GTO stock. I have a 03' Lightning with a 6 Lb pulley, K&N air filter, chip, tuned, and headers. And a few months ago I just got a new torque convertor and it feels awesome. He says he can take me. What do you guys think? Thanks

Is he Auto or stick?

Either way I would say you have him no problem at all. Go from a stop. No 60 mph to whatever rolls lol.

it depends if its a ls1 or ls2. i beat my friend with a 5.7 from a 70 punch because he knew i would dominate him from a stop and thats the only speed he would race me from. automatics are faster from a stop than sticks he told me. i have 6 pounder filter and tune making 400 rwhp. if its a 5.7 race him from a stop and it wont be close.

With slicks, I beat one by 2 lenghts in the 1/4. He had an 06 with the 6.0, intake/exhaust.

It will be close. Race him from a dig and you should win with a decent launch. From a roll he may take you. Good Luck and be safe!

I agree....I don't think it'll be as easy as many think (if you do win). The Goats are fast.
