I normally take mass transit in to work and I'm needing a vehicle to handle all of the 3-4 miles a day it takes to get me to and from the stop and an occassional jaunt to the store. I just want a basic vehicle (prefer a truck so it can haul a little junk around) so I can leave the nicer wheels at home. Working for a bank, I can pick over lease returns of which we currently have a 96 base s10 (manual no gimmick work style truck) with 60K for a little over 4 grand. Not bad, but s10 reliability generally sucks. Any opinions on this? Am I asking for a huge headache? Otherwise, I will probably just look for some compact import..
