New to the site/ Built Engine Update

Hey guys, I normally browse the forums on most of the other Lightning/Ford truck sites but for some reason never signed up here. I figured I might as well just signup and add this site onto my daily dose of lightning info. Anyway, my trucks an 04' with a 2.3 whipple and supporting mods, long story short it blew up a couple weeks back due to a less than satisfactory tune. So im going built, here are the specs. I also decided on going with Dynatech LT's with the catted mids and my Bassani cat-back for the exhaust system, how loud do you guys think this will be? Also any ideas on what my #'s will look like once its all said and done?

Setup:

5.4 block
Manley Forged H-beam rods
C-P forged pistons with 17cc dish
melling oil pump with steel gears
Ferrea stainless intake valves
Ferrea stainless exhaust valves
Manley valve spring set
Comp Cams with custom grind
ARP head stud kit
ARP main stud kit
VAT and magnafluxed the block
align hone main bore
bore and hone cylinders w/ torque plate
balance the rotating assembly
do a high performance valve job
port and surface the cylinder heads
Dynatech Lt's with mids
Bassani Catback
2.3 Whipple w/ 4# lower (just for the begining)
65lb injectors
SCT 2400 BIG Air MAF
Twin 255 fuel pumps
Protorque convertor w/ 2700 stall
FTVB

Good work nu;
Your sourcing for what you need in the eng area is right on but i'd recommend Mahle Plasma moly rings and FM brgs. along with bronze valve guides and your set.

It would save all of us valuable time if you'd post back exactly how much all your engine items came to and where you ordered them from.

ET hummm, if your around the 19lb range then i'd say low 11's, it depends on a lot of things as you know.

Thx guys, Duffee Motorsports is doing all the work. Owners name is Brian and he has the shop right behind his house. Its a huge building complete with an entire machine shop, lifts etc. He trys to do all of the machine work as well as assembly/tuning in house for quality control. He also does all his tuning on the street vs. a dyno. He came highly recommended and so far im more than satisfied with his work. Also, i didnt list it on the specs, but he also plans to use the Hell Fire ring set and the Manley valve spring set. All together, tune, assembly, parts, etc. the EST. came out to be $10,700.00. Which isnt bad considering the parts that are going into it. the parts were ordered from various companies, such as lethal performance, rpmoutlet, C-P pistons, Comp cams etc.

Here is a link to his site, he has a bunch of cool info. on previous builds he's done.

haha guess I should have put, "currently he is doing all of his tuning on the streets vs. a dyno, he plans to get a chasis dyno in the future." Either way, Im happy he is doing the tuning on the street, that way the exact same load is put on the truck when its being driven.
