Question Loaner cars

Do you guys get free loaner cars with the Lightnings? I saw in the SVT Lightning brochure at the dealer that the 2001's come with free loaner cars when you drop your L off for service and a car wash. I've got the 2000 and I wondered if this applies? The service people weren't sure if it came with one or not...especially since I didn't buy their extended warranty.

Hello all..

Unless your service manager is REALLY nice or you have the mack-daddy ESP extended warranty.. you do not get a loaner car during service work.. I went through this while trying to get my intercooler fixed.. I did not see how I was expected to pay for a rental car while they fix an intercooler that was defective..

Moral of story.. get the ESP.. it will pay for itself the first time something breaks..

I was never big on extended warranties until I realized how dam complicated this motor is.. What I wouldn't give to have a 351W in the L..

I get a loaner every time (Which seems to be a lot). Dealer policy, I guess.

Cool

The fre loaner car is new for 2001's. My dealer didn't know about it at first, but I told them to call SVT . They then did confirm the free loaner car, man what a nice thing to offer. I think SVT should offer it to the 99 and 2001 L's too.

I ALWAYSgot a loaner when my 99 was in the shop. Now you say that I am suppose to get one with the 2001? Maybe it was just my dealer, All American Ford in Hackensack.

My dealer has signs all over the service area that say "WE DO NOT PROVIDE FREE LOANER CARS". I know that the 01's are supposed to get free loaners, and if I need service and they deny it to me I will raise some hell!!!

Considering the fact that I'm not in the mob I guess I'll have to settle for getting a loaner under the new 01 policy.
