Post Got my Magnaflow 12468, impressions...

Well it sure seems awefully quiet at idle and part throttle, basically the same as the stock muffler. When you hit WOT though it sounds pretty damn good, much louder than the stock muffler. I guess I am still a little disappointed, I love to hear some exhaust rumble when I'm tooling around in the parking garage here at work. My 94 L had 3 chamber flowmasters and it had a lot more rumble in the parking garage, but the magnaflow does sound better at WOT.

Maybe this muffler will get louder as it gets some miles on it. Anybody got opinions on this?

Give it a couple thousand miles. Settles in quite nice IMHO.

I have to agree with ATI. Only I've got a 14568. So far it's really, really quiet... Oh wait a second. It's still sitting in the box it arrived in via "The Man in the Brown Suit".

Guess I'll have to reserve judgement until next week.

Question

The Magnaflow model# 14468 is supposed to be louder at an idle.Because the muffler is shorter can any body verify this. Thanks. Bob.

What04, did you get your 14568 installed yet? Is that the same size as stock or is it the 14468? I've got a 568 coming in the mail and want to use the stock tips. Just finding out if I have to do any cutting.

Chainsaw13:

Took it to a muffler shop to check out how the install will go. Going on Thursday. Can't wait. But doing a one day trip to Arkansas tomorrow.

I have the 14568 which is close to the stock size, but this is no drop in. Strongly suggest finding a competent shop if welding isn't your bag. Stock tip[s can easily be used.

Good luck!!

I have the 568 and love it, here are some pics. The shop had to cut the pipe that goes from the drivers side about 4 inches. they cut my stock pipes bafore the tips and bent two new peices and welded them in.
