Just go to a dealer that has both and drive them. The only thing about the L is it has no back seat. But I never used one before, plus it has a bed! My insurance dropped $800 a year when I got my L. Had a 95 GT before. Like said before it gets many looks and coments. Questions like, " Is that stock?,Did that come that way?, Whats that thing on the engine?, What size bigblock is it?,Whats it run?" The last question is the best one to answer, becuase these people that don't know how fast these trucks are just drop their jaw!

The Lightning is faster!
The new cobra's are in the high 13's. My truck just ran the 1/4 at 13.537 @ 103.64.
1,200 miles on the odo. Just NGK spark plugs. Non platinum. Insurance is lower. What's to think over!!

The L gets my thumbs up. I traded a 98 Cobra for my 00 and in my humble opinion it was a step up. The Cobra handled like a barge compared to the L. Sure, with the R's way up it was a screamer, but I never enjoyed driving it as much as I do the L. Cobra's HoHum...L gets doubletakes and noticed MUCH more. And I especially enjoy the open mouthed"what the hell was that?" look on the other guys face in my rear view....
