Red face OFF SUBJECT, HANOI JANE REMEMBERED

(This was sent to me. I am a Viet Nam Veteran.)
As a Christian I am bound to forgive, but not to forget.

HONORING A TRAITOR:

Everyone has or did have a Vietnam veteran in their family or group of
friends. This is for all the kids born in the 1960s and 1970s who don't
remember this, and didn't have to bear the burden, that our fathers,
mothers, and older brothers and sisters had to bear.

Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the "100 Women of the Century."

Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never
known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country but
specific men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam.

The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's name is Jerry
Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF
Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison-the "Hanoi Hilton." Dragged
from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean
PJs, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American "Peace
Activist" the "lenient and humane treatment" he'd received. He spat at
Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and dragged away. During the subsequent
beating, he fell forward upon the camp Commandant's feet, which sent
that officer berserk. The AF Col. still suffers from double vision
(which permanently ended his flying days) from the Vietnamese Col.'s
frenzied application of a wooden baton.

>From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO(F-4Es). He spent 6
years in the "Hilton"- the first three of which he was "missing in
action." His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group,
too, got the cleaned/fed/clothed routine in preparation for a "peace
delegation" visit.

They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that
they still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his
SSN on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a
cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking
little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?"
and "Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent
captors?"

Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of
paper. She took them all without missing a beat. At the end of the
line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of
the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him the
little pile of papers. Three men died from the subsequent beatings.
Col. Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only
reason we know about her actions that day.

I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam, and was
captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968,
and held for over 5 years. I spent 27 months in solitary confinement,
one year in a cage in Cambodia, and one year in a "black box" in Hanoi.
My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female
missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Ban me Thuot, South Vietnam,
whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I
was weighing approximately 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs.) We
were Jane Fonda's "war criminals." When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi,
I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing
to meet with Jane Fonda. I said yes, for I would like to tell her about the
real treatment we POWs were receiving, which was far different from the
treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by Jane Fonda,
as "humane and lenient." Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky
floor on my knees with outstretched arms with a large amount of steel
placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane till my arms dipped.
I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda for a couple of hours after
I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV.
She did not answer me.

This does not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of "100
Years of Great Women." Lest we forget..."100 years of great women"
should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of
so many patriots. There are few things I have strong visceral reactions
to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them.

Please take the time to forward this to as many people as you possibly
can. It will eventually end up on her computer and she needs to know
that we will never forget.

I want to thank you Noel and the countless brave others that suffered because our government played games instead of letting you kick *** over there. I have not always been proud of our country, but I have never been anything but proud of our fighting men and women. Noel, I salute you!!!

Jane, you bitch, you should have never been aloud to come home!

A fellow that flew copilot for me many years ago at Eastern Airlines (Guy Garruthers - spent 5.5 years at the Hanoi Hilton), got his butt kicked bad when that $%^$# head visited because of his attitude. He fought those A$$holes all the way and had the ***** tortured out of him. There was all kinds of hell to pay there when that traitor showed up. I cannot believe they want to honor the Bitch!

Noel,

Thank you!

As a fellow veteran (albeit much younger), I have the upmost respect for those having served during this dark period in American history.

I bet she let Teddy [fill in deragatory content] as they watched the live CNN broadcast of the Gulf "War", hightlighting our "sensitivity" toward the Iraqis and her taking full credit for making the military peaceful. Peaceful military, what a crock....

I'm going to stop now.......

She is the only woman that I have ever wanted to beat the absolute ***** out of. I wonder if Mr. Turner would broadcast that. World wide coverage of the Traitor Bitch from Hell finally getting what is long over due.

Hey Noel, MS. Fonda has since then became you sister in Christ. Dont know if you heard or not but Ted is divorcing her because She has become one of those looney, Bible thumpin Church go'ers. Only God knows if its legit, but its the best thing that could have happend to her. I just though I would throw that out there for you. Oh, She deserves NO award for her past behavior, not by any means. That story is shocking to say the least. I feel for any one and everyone that was involved with any war. I know ALOT of people that got messed up in Nam. My Dad got his draft card in the mail the day after he joined the reserves, so he didnt have to go. But his next door neighbor, who was going to sign up with him, but instead decided to put it off for the following day,got his card the same day and ended up going over there and got shot up real bad. He is not right to this day. Very SAD. I cant blame Jane though. I dont think I would be fowarding that to everyone I know, unless you are 100% sure its legit IMHO! Speaking as a Brother here.

dogleg, if forgivins are not free, they are not realy forgivins are they? That would be IOU's. As Christians we are to forgive our enemies not seek revenge on them. That would be playing GOD. Is it hard to do? YES!!! We are all human!!

Well, as far as the "100 Years of Great Women", I don't think so. As a former Army Warrant Officer, the bitch deserves a swift kick in the a$$, to say the least. I guess that sums up the general direction the US is headed. Just look at all the sh$t that goes on, and people think is okay or alright. I guess it just doesn't surprise me anymore.
Well, I can forgive, but like its been said, I don't forget

I went to see her and Tom Hayden at an anti-war rally at the U of Michigan in 1973. It was quite an event.

It's amazing what 30 years of historical revisionism has done to our attitudes about the Vietnam War. That was a seriously screwed up campaign, and now we're all acting like we were "patriots" back then or something. Screw that. I would have done anything I could to stay out of that mess, including leaving the country. Luckily, I just missed getting drafted so I didn't have to make that move.

I have more respect for "Hanoi Jane" than for the cynical leadership of this country that led us into that quagmire. At least she had a conscience and acted in accordance with it.

Gordon,

She had and still has no concience. Read the above posts again. Soldiers who still retain the affects of the Vietnam war have a concience. Jane has none.

Yeah ole Jane was a real patriot! I can't stand that traitorous bitch. It's one thing to exercise your Constitutional right to protest a war you don't happen to agree with. It's another all together to give aid and comfort to the enemy.
BadDog-Glad to have upstanding guys like you around, more people like you and we would all be saluting the hammer and sickle. I happen to think the war sucked too, but when your country calls you suck it up and do your duty, the sacrifices of those who have gone before you demands nothing less.
