I have a '01 L and noticed some of you guys have a certificate from SVT showing the vin# and born on date. Was this something that came with the truck? I live in CA and bought my truck from a dealership that had their heads in their A$$es. Should I have gotten this cert with my truck!

Call 1-800-FORD-SVT and give them your VIN #. They will send the certificate to you in 7-10 days. Just got mine for my 2000 Lightning.

For the '99's and '00's the certificates were shipped in Jan and Feb of the following year i.e., the '00's just arrived a couple of month's ago. On the '99's you could call and give your VIN and some of the first ones they gave you build # and build date but they quit half way through the summer. Now they wait until the production run is done around Sept before giving out the info. You still have to wait for the certificate though.

I have my SVT certificated framed, hanging on my wall. O wait a minute, its the one for the 99 L. Guess I will have to wait till the run is over for the one for the 01. Sure will look nice hangind side by side.
