SVT F150 LIGHTNING DECAL
Can anyone help! I'm looking for a windshield decal that reads "SVT F150 LIGHTNING", I saw one in the Sept. 99 issue of Super Ford, pg. 28, on an older ('93-'95) lightning. any help locating this trucks owner or a decal like this one will be appreciated!
Check out the back cover of the Ford World Company catalog, fall 99.
It says "SVT F-150 Lightning".
the catalog # is S10193, cost 20.00
The order # is 800-444-4503.

I got one this weekend from the SVT trailer at SVT On Track in Dallas. $22.00 including tax. The new SVT product catalog is supposed to have them available as well, but haven't seen the catalog yet. They are available only in white.

Thanks for the information guys, this really helps me. Also I have the 1st '99 white lightning that was delivered to the state of Arkansas, it is a real 5150!

It is a decal that applies to the outside of the windshield. Just peel off the heavy paper side as you apply it and after it's stuck down good, just slowly peel off the thinner paper side and the decal is on. This sounds easier than it is, air bubbles are a PITA, but it looks really good when you get finished.

The trick I learned to install lettering/graphics and not get bubbles is to:
1. Clean the glass REAL well.
2. Spray 'application fluid' on the area. If you can't find something like 'Quick Stick' (a sign shop might give you some), use Windex or a mix of water and alcohol, it just takes a lot longer to evaporate.
3. Peal the backing off, then apply and position until you get it where you want it. You won’t have a lot of time, so plan ahead.
4. Squeegee the application fluid out and remove all bubbles.
5. Wait several minutes for the application fluid to evaporate. ‘Quick Stick’ only takes about a minute.
6. Burnish the letters/graphic down onto the glass using a round pointed tool (I use the capped end of a ball point pen).
7. CAREFULLY remove the backer starting at one corner. A lot of times small/thin items will ‘lift’ with the backer. Lay it back down carefully and burnish it again. If you still have problems, help it off with a small knife and burnish that area again after the backing is off.
8. Inspect the entire thing and carefully work out any bubbles or loose edges.
Patience helps, not something I have a lot of. Good luck.
