Cool Oh Cool - Got My New Winter Beater!!

Got my new 2001 GMC Yukon Denali. Very nice drive. Not exactly a hot rod but more suitable for family cruising than a Lightning.

What to drive, what to drive?!?

Cool

Nice choice. I really liked the white as well, but my wife wanted the pewter. Ours is a Pewter Denali XL & we really enjoy it. Even with the extra weight of the XL, it moves pretty good with the 6.0, I was pleasantly surprised.

What04,

What is the build quality and interior like? Most GM cars suffer from the same faux plastic interiors and squarish corners around the dash. How does this new one compare?

P.s. It's funny that you got your winter beater, just in time for summer!

Ford 2001, my wife saw the Pewter before ours arrived and really questioned the choice of white. White looks sportier and the pewter looks richer. Was a toss up. Power-wise, I am a little disappointed by the throttle tip in being really sluggish. But that comes from recently using a single blade T/B on the L I'm sure.

Frans: The build quality on this truck is very good. The body moldings are far better thought out than the previous generation and the wheel and tire combo is much sharper.

The interior is very well done, although I am disappointed with the front seats not being as comfy as the last generation. They have tried to put in too many adjustment doo dads that just end up digging into you (I'm rather wide of back). The Bose stereo kicks for a factory unit.

Over all, a great family machine. And yes, a winter beater in April seems a little odd, but we kind of got crunched back in February, and it has taken 'til now to get sorted out.

What04 I have to admitt it looks sharp. I myself will never buy a GM after a past experiance with a GM product and how they treated me.

I hope you have good luck with the Dark Side product, LOL.

By the way let me know when you get the new Muffler put on your truck.

You could be driving a 4WD BENZ for the same money. Just though I'd mention that. It would also run a 16.5 (16.0 if you shelled out for the V8). You would also have an ear-melting Bose system, and a lot more than that. I sort of dig ours, I guess.
