Post Raced an 2001 L today

Pulled up to a light in my Eclipse today and next to me was an 01 L, and I thought how I would love to have one but already have too many cars. So when the light went green I took off. Not too fast but I did unintentionally get the drivers attention. At the next light my friend looks over at the driver of the L and asks him "Do you wanna go" The driver of the L laughs and says "whatever, if you think you can push it" so when the light turns green I jumped, about 6 cars ahead to be exact. At the next light he says "Oh, I wasn't ready, lets go again" So I did with the same result. (Man do I need to get some of this on film) At the next light the driver of the L says "There must be something wrong with my truck, I'm gonna go home" and I didn't have a chance to explain that my Eclipse does 12.8's in the 1/4 with 1.6 60ft's. So if that was you today, please respond, I just want to hear your reaction>

By the way, I'm not trying to be negative on the L, I really want to get one for myself but the wife says if I do I have to sell one of my other cars and there is no way I'm gonna do that.

Not me but I have raced what turned out to be an 11.5 sec Talon. He did a 4 wheel burnout straight through the intersection. That must be the fastest car I have raced.
My reaction. A little surprised but I new the early Talons can run, especialy with 20 pounds of boost. What year is your Eclipse?

My Eclipse is a 99 GSX AWD, and is now capable of 20lbs (20g turbo, all the goodies)of boost but I only run at 14 for now.
The reason the earlier ones were better was the stock blowoff valve was a lot better, so that was the first thing to go. I already changed my injectors, and as soon as I change the fuel pump I'm gonna go for the 20PSI, and see if I can get 11's.

Light weight+AWD+Big Turbo=Awesome acceleration

Those DSM cars can be made to really haul A$$ they have a great street advantage especially if it is slippery out. Great run, I have driven the turbo AWD Eclipse it is a fun car

There used to be a guy that ran a AWD early Eclipse at the street legal drags at Pomona. The thing would run 11.80's and looked pretty stock from the outside. It made 400 Hp and had many suspension mods. He had about $25,000 in engine and suspension mods. What a rocket!

Just imagine what the Lightning could with that kind on investment. Space Travel would be possible.

Well I raced a 1997 Eclpise GST all stock and I took her off the line and had it for a while until around 70mph and she then passed me. Man when that turbo gets going look out!

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: You never know what's under the hood of your competition.
I never have an attitude that I'm gonna clean someone's clock, cause you just never know. Just like people don't think a pickup can run the way the Lightning does, nobody should underestimate anyone else's vehicle.

Don't let anybody ever tell you there car is stock, HAHAHAHA. My girlfirends got a new 2000 eclipse and now since I started taking her out to that street racing, she wants to try and make her car faster. I don't know but I like that auto stick they got in those cars.

I only have $3000 or so in Mods, the car ran 14.9's stock, but now runs 12.8's all day. No suspension mods and I still have the stock 205/55/17's Goodyear EAGLE GS tires.
All work done by myself. I paid $22000 for the car new, plus the mods = $25000
Possible of 11's with current turbo (boost tuned up to 20psi) and 110 Octane gas. Also car is not very loud.
