2002 Lightnings
You da man, BBQ.
I want to know more about the '03s. Curious about the new body style, anyone seen any spy photos? Would be pretty hard to improve on the present design, I would think, except there is not enough room under the hood for an adequate blower. Heard they were going to put a larger blower in the '03s, anyone heard anything about that?

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

That's Jorge from Havana. his street racer is affectionately know as "Pepe". they are king of the street/strip (same thing) in Cuba. Jorge has been using the original powerplant for the last 17 years and says the key to their celebrity status, is consistancy. Pepe hasn't redlighted since he was 2. When Jorge and Pepe race an opponent they always kick ***, or ox, depending on the class they are running in. they have also experienced "the leak" while racing, but a simple refill and they are ready for their next victim.
Just got in from work, and in honor of Mr. BBQ's man photo, Iam currently starting a fire in the grill and going to have a nice Strip steak from Omaha steaks. I also raise a toast to Jorge and Pepe for knowing how to over come their "leak". Thanks Mr. BBQ, Iam rolling on the floor!!!!!!!!!

Blue must be a new color for 2002! Still has a solid axle, no IRS. From picture one can guess it probably has slicks on it! Which end does the blower go on? Will a ram air fit? Does the air filter mount on the exhaust? It is still doesn't have an extra cab. Given the right diet, will it pass California emissions? Great picture!!! Skip

One of the folks on this Board, who says they work in the facility that makes the Lightning transmissions, says that Ford was commited to a six year production plan starting in 1999.
Of course, that plan could change or be scrapped. I assume it depends how well the Lightnings sell. Since 1999, production has steadily increased from 4000 vehicles to over 7000 vehicles per year.
I am a little concerned when I see at my local dealership that it appears the Lightnings are not selling quickly. And this is in a very affluent county.
